Safflower for processing

Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius) is one of the oldest olive and dyeing crops, which has significant food, feed, industrial, medicinal, cosmetic and dietary properties during its use by mankind for more than 4 thousand years.

The oil obtained from safflower seeds has polyunsaturated fatty acids: linoleic (88%), oleic (7.6%), palmintic (5.5%), stearic (0.65%), linolenic (0.2%). It is used in the food industry (production of certain types of margarine), in cosmetic medicine (regenerating creams, rejuvenating masks) and perfumery (soap making). In the lacquer industry, safflower oil is suitable for the production of linseed oil, white enamels and paints, the characteristic feature of which is the absence of yellowing along with the passage of time.
